Cabbage Peas Sabzi – Indian Recipe

In a large Kadai heat 3 tsp oil and saute 1 tsp jeera and 1 tsp kasuri methi till they turn aromatic. Turn the heat off if they start turning dark.

Add 1 finely chopped onion followed by ½ tsp ginger garlic paste and saute well.

Add 1 tomato and saute until they turn soft and mushy.

Add 1 finely chopped potato and cook thoroughly.
Adding potato is completely optional, but adds texture & flavour. -
Add ¼ tsp turmeric, ½ tsp chilli powder, 1 tsp coriander powder and ¾ tsp salt. Saute well.

Now add 4 cup cabbage and ½ cup peas. mix well.
Do not overcook cabbage, as crunchy bite make sabzi tastier -
Cover & cook untill the cabbage, peas and potatoes are cooked properly. You may fork test it.
It is important to cover and cook. Else the flavor will be minimalized. -
Add ¼ tsp garam masala and 2 tbsp coriander leaves. Sitr and mix well.

Serve cabbage & peas sabzi with hot chapathi or along with rice & your favorite Pasand ________ Pickle or Pasand ________ Chutney.
